Welcome to the cyberhome of Templar Whippets!!
We are a small hobby kennel in the hills of Wild, Wonderful West Virginia and we are dedicated to the promotion of the whippet!! Our brood consists of 8 whippets and 2 Italian Greyhounds.
Whippets are a medium sized sighthound, resembling a greyhound. They hunt by sight and are VERY fast! Their prey drive is amazing! They will chase anything that moves, so they are not suited for being off lead in most situations.
But if you have a couch, then you have a great home for a whippet, as they are the best "lounge lizards" and LOVE to stretch out after a day of running and playing.
We are members of the American Whippet Club and Tri-State Dog Fanciers Association. We will no longer be breeding, but can help you find a breeder in your area or connect you with WRAP, our great rescue group!
